Dr. Barone On A NO CARB / NO SUGAR / NO GLUTEN Eating Program

So I am on day 6 of my first time ever, NO CARB / NO SUGAR / NO GUTEN eating program. Actually, it is more of a test; a two week test to be exact. The test is designed to see how your body functions and looks during the two weeks of eliminating those Carbohydrates from you daily eating. I can tell you first hand that I lost 7 pounds so far on the plan, which was shocking, since I have such LOW body fat to begin with. I noticed on day 2, that I had one of the largest bowel movements that I had ever experienced that lasted for about 30 minutes in duration. My focus and concentration have improved and I have noticed my energy was more consistent throughout the day. The most difficult part was going into my workouts, knowing I had NO carbs in me; however, I survived just fine and actually didn’t feel that my performance dropped. I had one of my best spin bike sessions and motocross training sessions in a while. For now, I have another week of the test and then am pretty sure that I will transfer into a LOW carb, LOW to NO Gluten, LOW Sugar, LIMITED Dairy, eating plan. I am doing my research and will try to keep you posted throughout my journey.

THIS CRAZE OF LOW CARB EATING / DIETS / LIFESTYLE ALTERING are NOTHING NEW!  In 1860 there was a registry by an English casket maker named Willam Banting who recorded losing 45 pounds, on a diet of lean meat, dry toast, soft boiled eggs and a few drinks per day. The "Banting diet" was very well known then as the "Atkins", "Paleo", "The Zone" etc. etc. etc. are today.  The Banting diet was also promoted for diabetes control as well as weight control "  ~ Dr. B
