Dear Dr.  Barone,

 

I’m 52 and started coming to Barone Spinal Care in July 2011 for severe neck pain.  I also have a history of back pain and sciatica.  It started when I was in my early 20’s.  I moved a heavy coffee table and was laid up for 3 days.  It was always a weak spot after that and I had my first back surgery (laminectomy @ L4/5) at the age of 28.  Was better for a few years but the lumbar area gradually degenerated.  I had a lumbar fusion and 2 levels (L4/5 & L5-S/1) at age 39.  Had relief for 6 months, then the disc above the fusion ruptured because the fusion put too much stress on that level and I’ve had severe lumbar and sciatic pain down the leg and into the foot ever since.  Had to quit hairdressing/working all together.  Cannot walk much of any distance as it aggravates the sciatic nerve.  Stairs are difficult.  One surgeon told me to have another fusion; another said no more surgery for you …. Live with it.  I’ve tried physical therapy, tens unit, acupuncture, traditional chiropractic, prolo therapy, trigger point injections and every type of epidural steroid injection.  3 discs in the neck are pretty flattened out and was told to have those 3 levels fused in 2005 but after what happened with the lumbar fusion, I’m too afraid.  In July 2011 my neck got real bad, weakness in arms and hands/grip, couldn’t lift my arm to get a cup of coffee out of the microwave and this concerned me because these are also signs of losing neural function in which case you have no choice but to have surgery.  So in an effort to avoid surgery I called Barone Spinal Care. My niece had been bugging me to go there for years because they got rid of her severe neck pain.  I wouldn’t go because I was just sick of it all, but his time I thought I’ll give it a try if it helps me avoid surgery.   To be honest, my plan was to make an appt. with a neurosurgeon (good ones are booked 3 months in advance) and start NUCCA treatments at Dr. Barone’s office right away.  I figured if NUCCA adjustments weren’t helping after 3 month I wouldn’t’ have to wait to get in with the neurosurgeon.  Dr.  Barone’s office got me in in 2 days and I hadn’t gotten around to booking the neurosurgeon appt. yet.  I planned to do it the following week.  In the meantime I had my first 2 adjustments and my neck felt so much better that I never booked the neurosurgeon ppt.   I really think I dodged a bullet there.  After the second adjustment everything kind of loosened up and the muscle spasms gradually eased up.  The adjustment is PAINLESS.  You feel a little pressure from the doctors hand on your neck but I’ve had massages that used more pressure than this!!!  This is not painful, back surgery is painful.  There is no “thrust” or “cracking” like a traditional chiropractor adjustment.  It seems like they just gently nudge things into their proper place but I’m sure there’s more to it than that.  These doctors are highly trained in this technique.  I googled NUCCA and read about it. When I stood up after my first adjustment my body felt heavy and my legs were tingling from the knees down.  (Increased circulation)  Before the adjustments I couldn’t’ find a comfortable position for my neck on the pillow so I tried to sleep sitting up in a recliner No problems with a pillow now and I can lie on my side again.  Sleep is a deeper sleep.  I feel like I’m standing up straighter and my legs feel stronger.  I can stand for longer periods of time.  I’m more relaxed and smiling more.  I still have back pain but it’s better than it was and I’m only 9weeks in to this.  I’ve read it takes a year to get the maximum benefit.  I’m not taking Vicoden as much either.  The best part for me is less muscle spasms and tightness as this contributed to the pain a lot and now I can stretch more.  Trying to stretch with a muscle spasm is like trying to drive a car with the emergency brake on.   I would not recommend surgery without trying this first.

Dear Dr. Barone:

I had been experiencing neck and shoulder pain and some pins and needles in my feet.  Over the past three years I had visited about three other chiropractic offices and the therapies I received had relieved the pain but did not correct the root cause of the pain.  Then, I had heard about Barone Spinal Care of 560 WIND radio in Chicago.  I decided to go to their office for some tests.   The staff of doctors and employees was thoughtful, considerate, and professional.  I learned about my spinal subluxation through the muscle test and x-rays.  The spinal adjustments were painless and the former neck and shoulder pain and stiffness had been eliminated.  The adjustments also helped to greatly reduce the feeling of pins and needles in the feet.

Dear Barone Spinal Care,

I am 42 years old and live in Kentucky.  I started having problems with my neck and left shoulder back in January 2005, I just thought I was getting older and some pains here and there come with age.  In February 2005 I started having shooting pains going down my left arm and into my head.  So I went to the doctor, he told me I probably pulled a muscle in my neck because it mainly stemmed from my neck.  Then my left arm started to turn purple, cold and would swell, which means my circulation was being cut off, plus I would lose all feeling in that arm and hand. This really scared me, because all you ever hear is “if it’s your left arm, something is wrong with your heart…” .

I went through every single doctor & treatment possible to find out what was wrong, with no success. After being told that this would not go away without surgury, I scheduled my surgury for Feb of that year. I called my sister on January 4^th 2006 to tell her that I had scheduled the surgery. I just so happens that my sister works next door to Barone Spinal Care. One of the doctors listened as she told him about me & he told her to have me call him and talk to him before I have the surgery, because he thought they might be able to help me without going through such a traumatic procedure. So I called him, he was extremely knowledgeable on the subject and was so confident they could help me without doing any surgery that he asked me to come Illinois to see them. Of course I wanted to try anything to get out of the surgery, so I made an appointment.

My first visit was on January 24^th 2006,I got to learn more about NUCCA and their procedure and I got an evaluation to see if I would be eligible for them to help me. I must tell you, after meeting Dr. Barone I felt like I was family. They had a genuine concern for my well being. I left feeling confident that I could avoid having surgery. They asked me to give them three months to try and help, so I thought “what do I have to lose?” so I postponed my surgery. I came back on February 17, 2006 to have my first adjustment, which was painless, I didn’t feel anything. It was like a miracle, my arm instantly turned back to it’s normal color and was no longer cold. As I continue to come to Barone Spinal Care and have adjustments, my pains have gone away. I have regained the use of my left arm. My life is mine again, I no longer have problems sleeping or doing things with my children. The last time I had to be adjusted was in the middle of March, I have been holding in place since then.

I do not know how to ever thank Dr. Redinger, Dr. Barone and my sister for what they have done for me. I was living with so much pain for 1 year and now I have basically none, very minor, which should go away in time. If I went ahead with the surgery, I would still be recovering.

Dear Barone Spinal Care,

 I’m writing about my progress with the treatments through the Barone Spinal Care. I had various pains, soreness, and ailments which I didn’t attribute to the spine or nervous system. My posture was bad and I stood a bit on an angle, which was attributed to having one leg shorter than the other. My neck hurt due to stiffness when turning back in my car to check traffic. I had various pains in the shoulders, neck, hips, and lower back, and also experienced dizziness and IBS (irritable bowel syndrome).

 Having gone through 3 plus months of treatment, I have noticed improvement with all the above mentioned symptoms. Part of the treatment process was changing some of my bad habits, which involved sleeping on my stomach, and taking care not to put additional stresses on my neck.  My posture is better with less pain, and I generally feel better than before. My neck and shoulder pains are mostly gone. I am hopeful that going through with the entire program will help me feel better.

 One interesting occurrence was when Dr. Barone was providing results of the initial exam, he told me that I had some trauma to my neck 50 years ago. This surprised me because being 52 years old; I didn’t know what that could have been. So I told my mom what Dr. Barone said. She said when I was 1 or 2 years old, I had fallen out of my bed onto the floor. That was quite an educated statement which still surprises me.

Dear Dr. Barone,

I am 47 years old who has been suffering from severe neck pain, upper left shoulder blade pain, and headaches for over 5 years. The pain made me irritable and painful to exercise to my full capacity. I had seen a traditional chiropractor in the past and had massage therapy but the pain always returned and tightness of muscles continued.

I had heard about Barone Spinal Care thru clients at the gym who also went to Barone Spinal Care. I finally came into the office to find out what methods they used and what they could do for me. Dear Dr. Barone,

 After a fall I took, tests showed that I had fractured my vertebrae in my lower back. I had been suffering severe back pain since then. I had a personal friend, Rita Baur, recommend Barone Spinal Care to me.  Rita told me how greatly she had improved and said it was a series of simple procedures. I have been coming to the Barone Spinal Care clinic for several months 2x a week. 

I noticed I had trouble reaching down to put on my socks and shoes. Lately I have had less trouble in that area. I have been walking more round the area where I live, my stomach is feeling better and my appetite is much better. 

The staff is very nice. The doctors are very helpful and the ladies at the front desk are always helpful. The Doctor always shows me my personal chart at each treatment and shows me the progress I am making. Dear Dr. Barone,

I heard about Barone Spinal Care while listening to WYLL. I had trouble with sciatic nerve pain since January. I went to a traditional chiropractor and did get some relief but still had trouble walking and had slight pain.

I came to Dr. Barone in May with the complaint of neck pain. I felt relief immediately after the first adjustment. I have been seeing Dr. Barone twice a week since May and since then my neck pain is gone, I’m walking better, I taking the stairs when I can, and instead of sitting around I’m able to move up and down.

I’m thankful that I am getting much better since coming to Barone Spinal Care.

I would like to mention that since coming to Barone Spinal Care, I have seen significant improvements in quite a few areas. My doctor, in the course of performing a biannual physical examination, detected heart arrhythmias. One of the possible causes of this condition is nerve damage, revealed by stiff and painful neck muscles.

I went to Barone Spinal Care for the first time on January 25, 2007 and had my first adjustment on January 29, 2007. After Dr. Barone adjusted the cervical spine the neck muscle pain was greatly relieved and continues to improve. I have every expectation that this can also lessen the arrhythmias.

Dear Dr. Barone,

I was suffering with acute Acid Reflux problem for the past several years. There was virtually nothing that I could eat without causing flatulence and bloating. I experienced stomach aches, acute constipation and weakness. I was tired of taking acid blockers and antacids.

My wife has a friend who's husband had been to Dr. Barone & had amazingly relieved his similar problems after treatment at the clinic. I was very happy to hear about it. The very next day I took an appointment and visited the Barone Spinal Care practice. Dr. Barone examined me and said that my spine was out of alignment. I was x-rayed and my exact misalignment was estimated.

My treatment began. Dr. Barone put my spine back into alignment in next two three sittings and after that I was told the best treatment plan for me was to take an appointment once every week. After the restoration of spine’s alignment I have noticed an improvement in my condition. I have now much less frequent stomach aches, occurrence of constipation has reduced and I feel more energetic. I keep feeling better as the days pass by. I am optimistic that by the time I finish the treatment, I will be fully cured.

I would heartily recommend anyone suffering from a problem related to the spine mis-alignment, to visit Barone Spinal Care practice for effective care of spine.

I'm 47 years old and enjoy golf. During a golf show last February, I was approached by a staff member of Barone Spinal Care. He pointed out that I appeared to be walking in an unbalanced manner. Testing confirmed showed that I was misaligned and afterwards I somewhat reluctantly agreed to a consultation. Initially, I was quite skeptical and even immediately after my first adjustment I still had doubts. However, within a matter of a few days I notice substantially less pain in my knee and lower back. Stiffness in those
areas after prolonged periods of sitting or driving was significantly reduced as
well.
Since the beginning of my treatment in mid February, I've played golf several times(golf trip to Florida) and have noticed feeling in better balance and my scores have seemed to improve. I believe that this is no coincidence!

Dear Dr. Barone,

Being 71 years of age and having driven trucks across the country for 40 plus years, I’ve been diagnosed with lumbar degenerative disc disease with radicular neurophy.

For more years that I care to reveal I have had lower back pain, headaches, stiff neck with shoulder pains. I have taken pain pills, been on and off several chiropractors care, and used hot water heating pads – all of this only gave me temporary relief.

After hearing Dr. Barone’s radio program, I felt just perhaps this man could help relieve some of my pain, besides he offered a deal I couldn’t refuse. After all of the exams, x-rays and evaluation by Dr. Barone, I okayed that first painless treatment and felt almost immediate improvement. Since starting this very professional treatment (none of that snap, crackle and pop stuff), I have not taken one pain pill or used other means for relief. I am staying in alignment for longer and longer so I am improving. At my age I know I’ll never be 100%, but being 80% plus is fantastic!

Dear Barone Spinal Care,

I came to Barone Clinic at age 58, suffering from fibromyalgia. I attribute it to taking antacid medication for over 2 years and my system was not absorbing nutrients the way it should.  It happened about 2 years ago where my muscles and joints began aching and progressively worsened to the point where I could no longer exercise or lead the normal active life I always had. I had such severe fatigue that with just doing my daily routine of getting ready for work in the morning, I would have to lay down before leaving for work. I became very depressed over the situation. I went to a medical doctor for tests to rule out any serious diseases and was left with no hope of relieving my symptoms. 

I started to investigate this condition and started to take vitamins and mineral supplements when I met one of Dr. Barone's assosciates. I told him that I did not believe in chiropractic care but he convinced me to just come in to the office and see what they had to offer. I went and was treated professionally with kindness, care, concern, and painless adjustments.  Someone finally believed I had a problem and gave me hope of recovering in full. The exams were very thorough and the doctors explained everything they did in detail.  After the first treatment, I noticed the pain in my back started to go away and each week I started feeling more symptom free. It is still hard for me to believe that this painless treatment could improve my health, but I can’t deny that in 2 months versus 2 years of this condition, I am finally beginning to have hope of living a normal and active lifestyle again.

Dear Dr. Barone,     

I’ve been suffering from shoulder joint, upper, mid, and lower back pains for almost 20 years. I believe shoulder joint ache is due to overuse by being an advocate volleyball player in my youth. My backache got worse with 2 pregnancies. In addition to these pains, I’ve developed intolerance to lactose, more gas resulting from different food intake, and lack of blood circulation - which resulted in reaching for outerwear even in the summer time. I’ve tried exercising, stretching, and massaging but the pain didn’t improve. 

I thought about seeing a chiropractor for some time. One day, my husband and I were enjoying the Schaumburg festival and came across your booth. Your team member, Drew, explained to us that your practice didn’t practice traditional chiropractic method and that you focused on the source and not the problem itself. With my husband’s encouragement, I’ve decided to check it out.

The first appointment consisted of tests and explanations. On my second visit, we reviewed the test results and I got my first atlas bone adjustment. From patient’s perspective, it was very simple. All I had to do was lay on my side and the doctor gently moved the atlas bone. There was no pain involved. After this first adjustment, I noticed a huge difference in my posture. I felt like I was distributing my weight more to the left side and that I were standing straighter. That was because I’ve been putting more weight to my right leg for years. Growing up, I always thought that my right leg was longer than my left. Boy was I wrong.

After a year of continued treatment and daily exercise, my shoulder joint and back pains have been tremendously reduced. Not only that, but I was surprise to see that my tolerance to lactose has improved and I’m not as gassy anymore. In addition, I didn’t have to reach for my outerwear this summer. Dear Dr. Barone,

Around October 16, 2007 I started having a real bad stiff neck and right shoulder pain. I couldn’t sit for long periods of time without experiencing intense pain. It was even difficult for me to stand. I also experienced some depression.

The pains were bad and I couldn’t sleep in peace. It was difficult for me to do things such as move around, take a shower, or get dressed. I was irritable and now the pain was shooting up my neck to head. It felt like a traveling headache.

Since I do not know of any good doctors and do not have health insurance, I put my situation before the Lord in prayer and asked Him to guide me to a good doctor or clinic where I could be helped. The following Saturday on my way to church I turned on the radio and to my amazement I heard a doctor talking about something similar to my condition, my symptoms, my pain and about a treatment that could help this situation. Every Saturday I would listen to the program and finally made an appointment. I can say I learned about Barone Spinal Care through divine guidance. 

At the office I found that it was very friendly, tentative, professional, and very welcoming. They made me feel like family. All examinations and x-rays were done in a very professional and accurate manner.

The first adjustment brought results almost immediately but I did not notice until I left the office. Dr. Barone had asked me if I felt different; I had been in pain for so long that I didn’t realize there was a change till I was half-way home. I was happy that my pain was over and wanted to sing! But it wasn’t completely over yet. In the time between my first adjustment and the following appointment, I became out of alignment and the pain in my neck came back. I needed a few more adjustments and as time went by, I noticed my neck pain was less and less intense.

By June 2008 all of my pain in my neck and shoulder was gone. My tailbone pain was not completely gone but is much better! My depression has improved, and when it comes back it’s not around for long.

It took only three months for the healing to take place and I’m so grateful for it! I praise the Lord for Dr. Barone and his staff and ask that they be blessed abundantly in their mission of helping people with their physical suffering.

I first came to Dr. Barone upon referral by a friend who suggested that I might find relief from a number of chronic pains that I was complaining about.  I have degenerative disc disease and a host of other arthritic conditions (bad knees, aching bones in my feet, hands and other joints) caused by constant battering of my body through athletic activities like cheer-leading, track & field, dance, aerobics, tennis… you-name-it! 

 My joint pain has escalated steadily for the last few years and I’ve added to my list of complaints:  chronic neck pain, tight jaws, cracking joints and frequent headaches.   

At about the same time I made my first visit to Barone Spinal Care.  The staff at Barone Spinal Care has been terrific.  All are attentive and seem genuinely concerned about patients. I was impressed on my first visit by the thoroughness of the evaluative examinations that were given and have remained impressed by the exacting approach that is employed with the technique.

 

After my first adjustment I felt light-headed…almost euphoric.  That surprised me since I barely felt anything at all during the adjustment!  I was mildly aware that the doctor was applying slight pressure to a spot behind my ear.  I also noticed after the first adjustment that a headache I’d had for several days was gone.

 Each week has been a little bit different for me.  I don’t always feel light-headed after an adjustment and sometimes I am more aware of being adjusted than others!  Sometimes I’ve actually already been in alignment and didn’t need an adjustment.   

I’ve noticed a number of changes since starting treatment at Barone Spinal Care:

1. I am sleeping better.
2. My bowels have become more regulated.
3. I still have neck pain, but my jaws no longer feel tight nor do they crack and click.
4. My lower back seems to have a few issues that I didn’t notice before, but I’ve been told that’s due to the changes that my spine is going through.
5. I still experience some radiculopathy and numbness in my hands and legs, particularly if I’ve lain in one spot  without moving for too long, but there is a significant improvement in my circulation overall. 
6. I feel less tired than I used to.
7. I have not had palpitations in several months now. 

I am committed to continue with Barone Spinal Care for the rest of the year to see what more we can accomplish together.  I definitely feel encouraged and believe that coming to see Dr. Barone has made a difference for me. I would recommend them to anyone without reservation!

Dr. Barone,

When I first came into the office I was a mess.  I had severe pain in my right shoulder, to the point where I couldn’t even move it.  I had also been suffering with migraines that were severe to the point where I couldn’t get out of bed.  I had also been experiencing the worst menstrual pain from the time I first got my period.  At times I would curl up in the fetal position on my bed and cry in pain. 

Since coming to see Dr. Barone, I can move my right shoulder with no pain at all, I no longer have migraines that keep me in bed and my menstrual pain is minimal.  I am so grateful to have found Barone Spinal Care; the doctors have changed my life in such a huge way.  I can do things I haven’t been able to do in a long time.  Thank you so much to Barone Spinal Care!

 Dearr Dr. Barone:

Twenty plus years of chronic pain flowed through my body daily. Years and years of masking the problem with massage therapy, naprapaths, even chiropractors. Shots for pain, pills for pain, until finally, as the pain almost won, I was told about Dr. Barone.

After I saw him perform his treatment on my wife I was very skeptical. Witch Doctor? Fraud? Faith Healer? Well I can say in all honesty that before I let him perform his treatment on me I asked God to work a miracle through his hands and as of today I can say he is the REAL DEAL! A miracle was performed through his hands - he is so full of knowledge to care for our aches & pains! My pain have been reduced 95%. I will continue his treatment until I am 100% and that day will be very soon!!

Dear Barone Spinal Care Team,

I came in for a consultation around Thanksgiving 2008 with numerous nagging issues like sciatica in my right leg, neck stiffness, knots in my shoulders, tightness in my lower back, and tightness in my hamstrings and I an only 35 years old. Sleeping at night was also very uncomfortable.

I remember the pain I was in before coming to your office, it was not that great as to detract from my everyday life but now, after the alleviation of most of my ailments, I can safely say that I would not want to go back to that discomfort again.

After being under care for less than one month I had significant improvement in all of my muscle issues. I can now wake up and proceed to a workout without the long warm-up that was needed to loosen my muscle stiffness. My neck doesn't crack or pop and is very loose.  My sciatica doesn't bother me anymore and my lower back isn't in shambles when I wake up in the morning. Speaking of waking up I fall asleep almost immediately and can jump out of bed refreshed when the alarm clock goes off.

I am still shocked and bewildered that the speed of the exams and the gentleness of the corrections can lead to such marked improvements. I have been recommending Barone Spinal Care to a lot of my friends and family and would suggest that everyone should at least get a consultation.

I am 60 years old and have been suffering with constant back, neck and hip pain. In 1991 I suffered a head injury in an auto accident which changed my life. As a dancer all my life I had a lot of strength and energy. After my injury I couldn’t walk up the stairs without strain. I did improve over the years and continue to dance but not at the ability I one did. I was diagnosed with hypothyroid in 1999 and was told that it is expected to have the chronic fatigue and fybromyalgia along with it. It would be for life. Every time I tried to expand my exercise and dance I would suffer.

I ran into Dr. Barone at Fruitful Yield a few years ago and decided to see him for an appointment.

My hips were out and in pain. I couldn’t look up without holding my head because of the pain in my neck.

I was amazed at the thoroughness of the exam. The alignment of my neck was so simple but the result was amazing! My hips were straight, I could look up at the ceiling with no problems. I could dance without compensating for some difficulty and discomfort.

I have more energy. I do not feel the fatigue any more. My back, from the neck to my hips have almost no pain or discomfort.  In addition my sinus discomfort is improving and I just realized that my digestive system is healing. I was prescribed numerous supplements for indigestion, acid, as well as fatigue and pain and I am no longer needing them.

Dear Barone Spinal Care;

I have arthritis and lower back pain which goes down my right side and leg. I also have hand and finger numbness sometimes. I have high blood pressure, a heart condition, colitis, bladder problems and esophagus problems all at the age of 87. Some of the pain started in my forties.

I heard about Barone Spinal Care through my granddaughter, she had trouble with her neck and after her first adjustment she could turn her head without pain. They treat everyone like family.  I am so happy that I met you & started my treatment the following week at your clinic. I was impressed with the efficiency and professionalism of the clinic. WOW! It swept me off my feet. I still had to have some results though, so I began the treatments with some reservations. My reservations were because I haven't found help for years from some of my ailments. I am 59 years old and for at least 36 years I have had itching and ringing in my left ear. I have visited doctors of all different types, but every one of them said everything in my ear was fine.  After a few weeks of treatment at Barone Spinal Care, I was asked about the ringing in my ear, I was startled. How could I forget that constant irritating ringing in my ear? But I had forgotten that annoyance. It was gone!  My ear continually itched and I sometimes had vertigo. I am so happy I came into your office for treatment. I am a 43 year old woman who has been exercising regularly for almost 10 years. Unfortunately, I have been in pain for most of that time. I had severe hip pain, neck pain and shoulder pain along with occasional low back pain. In addition I had been suffereing from migrane headaches, which were quite debilitating. I had been to my regular physician as well as several "regular" chiropractors. I felt that I would just have to live with the pain and that I was causing it myself by working out too hard. 

I was introduced to you by my personal trainer. I thought it couldn't hurt to come in and see what Upper Cervical Chiropractic was all about. Nothing else had worked so I didn't have anything to lose. I have only been in treatment for a couple of months and I cannot believe the difference in my body! I definitely have much less pain in my hips and shoulders. I can actually turn my head completely from side to side with no pain or stiffness. Dear Dr. Barone,

I came to you after I herniated L4-5 disc in my lower back. Being only 32 years old, and suffering from some extreme low back pain that radiated into my left buttock for two weeks, I was recommended to you by my mother, Kathy Marston, who knows you personally. The pain caused me to lose time from work, sleep and stop most of all my normal daily activities. Before seeing you I was recommended to see a pain specialist for steroid injections or possibly even surgery. After my mother’s recommendation, and the trust the she has for you, I felt comfortable and very quickly trusted you and your treatment.

After the very first examination and adjustment, there was a great difference in the pain. In fact, the very next day I was pain free for the first time for more than 6 hours without any medication. I felt that I was not leaning or crooked in my posture as well after the first adjustment. After only one month of treatment the pain and discomfort had nearly completely diminished. Presently I am able to play softball, 4 games a week, when before I could not even touch my toes. The daily amounts of pain have completely disappeared and I am leading the life I had previous to this injury.

Dear Dr. Barone:

I am twenty four years old and have been dancing for twenty years. For about eight to ten years I have suffered from chronic knee and back pain. Being a dancer, you learn to live with certain body aches and pains, but by the time I was eighteen it got to be too much for me. I quit dancing in the hope of just taking a year off and well…it’s now going on six years since I stopped.

Over the past six years I’ve gone to chiropractors whose adjustments only helped me temporarily. I’ve tried doing yoga to help strengthen my core muscles and I’ve also tried just popping Advils, but nothing seemed to make the pain stay away. In addition to my knee and back pain, a list of ailments began to build in the past few years. I was always sick, my neck was always tight and achy, my head was always foggy with a lot of pressure over my eyes, I felt like I was in a daze twenty four hours a day, and I was chronically fatigued.

Then I came to Barone Spinal Care, and after sitting up from my first adjustment I could feel the pressure release in my head and neck, I felt like I could see clearer and I could breathe deeply again. I didn’t realize how shallow I had been breathing because of the pain in my back until the pain was lifted. I would like to relate what my experience is since starting my Upper Cervical Chiropractic care. I am a long time, strenuous hiker, often over rough terrain and ice. I went to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and back out in January.

I had been experiencing soreness in my left hip after a four or five hour hike. After beginning care, this soreness has pretty much faded in just this first month of treatment! I have also noticed some subtle changes in other areas. I sleep more soundly and for longer periods of time. The muscles in my back do not tire and get sore the way they use to. I think my balance seems more secure and it gives me feeling of “well being."

I am 72 years old & I’ve been suffering from lower back pain since I was 13 years old, and had no idea why. I had severe back pain with sciatica during all three of my pregnancies. I have gone to chiropractors regularly for the past 35 years and also tried massage therapy for a while. About 3 years ago the pain got much worse and I started to limp. I had pain on the whole right side of my body including my neck, shoulder, upper back, lower back, groin, leg, knee and ankle. My interaction with my grandkids became severely limited

When I walked into the Barone Spinal Care Center, it was with some skepticism as I have undergone chiropractic adjustments many times in the past, without success. I have been suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia, or so I was told, for more than 10 years. Also, I have had excruciating pain in my left knee for the past 40 years, since I was 18 years old. These health challenges adversely affected the quality of my life in many areas. I couldn’t walk or stand for extended periods of time. As a result of this forced inactivity I gained a great deal of weight and experienced difficult in performing the duties of my job. To put it mildly, I was miserable.

I am 67 years old. For the last 28 years I have been experiencing some problems with back pain. I suffered a fall on the ice and ever since then I have off and on periods of pain, which caused some very curtailed activity, not being able to pick up my grandbabies or take care of my plants, or even do household chores. I went to several chiropractors. Some helped a little but I always ended up in the pain spasms arena.

I heard about Barone Spinal Care about a year ago on the radio 1160 WYLL. I went for my first visit and started treatment. I was impressed at how thorough the exams were and everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Since my early 20’s I have felt pain everyday. I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis and scoliosis. I tried massage, painkillers and traditional chiropractic to help relieve the pain. Sometimes these treatments helped me, and other times they didn’t help at all. 

Around the time that I turned 40, I could hardly walk. Taking a step could bring tears to my eyes. I began to have difficulty raising my arm and experienced a pulling pain down my leg.

Dear Dr. Barone,

I was suffering with a stiff neck, low back pain, and a tingling sensation in my fingers for the past 20 years.  All these things made me very uncomfortable so I tried treating the pain on my own by using ointments, but there was no improvement.  Then I heard you on WYLL, the radio station, and was very interested by what you had to say. 

My experience here has been great. The Doctors give very detailed explanations. The amazing part is that I didn’t feel a thing.  There was no popping, no cracking, no pain, no nothing.  Changes I noticed immediately after the correction was less stiffness in the neck, fewer headaches, less dizziness, less pins and needles, less hip pains, less low back pain, and less knee pains.

Dear Dr. Barone,

I felt crabby, tired, angry, and constantly had mood swings before coming to see you. I had no energy and could only do a limited number of things because of the pain.  Before I came to Barone Spinal Care, I went to a chiropractor for 2 years, and also tried many different forms of pain relief such as acupuncture, creams, pills, herbal teas and patches for migraines and back pain.  Unfortunately nothing worked. One day I heard about Barone Spinal care when I was listening to the radio station WYLL.  My husband thought I should give it a try.  What harm could it do? 

My experience here has been extremely pleasant. The staff is very friendly, and they make me feel special. The exams are very thorough and the doctors explain everything in great detail. The changes that I noticed immediately after the correction were no pain, no stiffness, more energy, and most importantly no back pain.  I find myself thinking more clearly, and feeling light headed.

Dear Barone Spinal Care,

I’m 46 & have suffered from lower back pain since I was about 13. In the last 14 years the pain has become chronic.  I have been hospitalized with 2 herniated discs & was diagnosed with Sciatica.  A friend & co-worker who is also under the care of Barone Spinal Care convinced me to come in. From the time I walked into the office I was treated as if I was a valued member of a family.  So before anything was done I was more than half convinced to see what they could do for me.  At this point in time along with the chronic back pain I was suffering from severe migraines, acid reflux, fatigue & pain in my neck, shoulders & upper arms. 

After my initial evaluation I spoke with Dr. Barone who went over my proposed treatment plan & the changes that could possible occur.  I had my first adjustment 5 weeks ago.  Since that time I have not had any migraines.  My acid reflux has decreased greatly.  I have gone from taking medication 3 times a day for pain maintenance to 2 or 3 times a week.  I have not had any problems with shooting pains in my legs from the sciatica.  My blood pressure has been more stable & I find I have more energy.  The pain in my neck, shoulders & upper arms has decreased.

 Before visiting your office I was suffering from:

- blurring vision

- clenching of my jaw

- acid reflux

- and varying tenderness to pain in my right knee

After a few months of treatment the acid reflux disappeared.   It is interesting to note that my eating habits had not changed.    The other symptoms have taken approximately 5 months to improve.

I am 43 yrs. old and have suffered with chronic back pain for most of my life, this was due to being struck by a car as a child.

 

I had back surgery in May of 2002 and have been diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and fibromyalgia. These, being the most chronic of my health conditions. I have a long history of neck and shoulder pain, stemming from a traumatic head injury as a child. In my early 30’s I had a radical diskectomy at cervical disks 4/5 to correct a ruptured disk that created daily excruciating migraines, shoulder pain and shooting pain down my right arm.  About 2 years after the surgery I began to get migraines again. I knew the symptoms… blinding pain behind my left eye, pain in my right shoulder, shooting pain down my arm. The thought of having to go through surgery again frightened me and I was in denial about my condition. I endured the pain for 2 years before I was evaluated by Dr. Barone. 

I started seeing Dr. Barone a little over 2 months ago. I understood the concept of NUCCA practices, but assumed that chiropractic correction should be a dramatic adjustment to be healing. Also – I was more than wary of chiropractic practice because I had been hurt by having my back adjusted years ago and also because my surgeon and specifically warned me against chiropratic. 

However, 3 people I knew had gone to see Dr. Barone with amazing results – what did I have to lose???

After my first visit, I felt off balance. Not in a bad way, just odd. After a month of visits, about twice a week, I began to discern “bad days” versus “good days”. This meant I was having good days!!! The irony is that the good days snuck up on me!! I took them fro granted because the pain in my neck wasn’t existing on a daily basis.

Through the help of Barone Spinal Care and NUCCA practice I do not need to consider additional disk fusions! What’s done is done, I cannot turn back time and see Dr. Barone before my first surgery but I can definitely do something about the future. I do not need to deny myself a pain-free life. I am 78 year old and I have been suffering from sciatic pain in my left leg since 2005.  I had seen an orthopedic surgeon who offered me two choices, one was to try epidurals at a pain clinic or surgery.  I tried the first epidural with no relief, then I decided to go with his second option which was to have back surgery.  My back surgery took place on February 2, 2006.  Following the back surgery, I was pain free for two months, I  thought I was “home free.”  However, equally severe pain returned and the surgeon said it was the nerves “waking up” and it would either get better, or I’d have to live with it.  

In early November I decided to try your methods for treatment; as I had tried everything else.  To this date, I have had three adjustments, all painless, and although I have a long way to go I have noticed significant improvements in my health.  The leg pain I was previously experiencing is far less painful than it was before.  I have noticed other subtle improvements in body functions that plagued me for years.  I am truly looking forward to the rest of my treatments and the fine care I receive from you and the Barone Spinal Care staff.

I have been suffering with neck problems for many years.  An instructor at the Buehler YMCA told me about Dr. Barone and the wonderful things he and his staff have accomplished. I suffered from loss of range of motion, pain in moving my neck, finger numbness, low back pain, hip pain, and pain in my feet. I have tried several chiropractors and they did not help.  In fact, many times the pain was worse. I have had physical therapy many times and still suffered from pain and loss of motion.

I finally went to an orthopedic surgeon and after extensive testing, the surgical procedure recommended was an anterior cervical disectomy and fusion from C-5 through C-7.  Another option was a cervical epidural steroid injection. Neither of these options were for me. In fact it scared me.

When I talked to Mary, the instructor at the Y, I asked her for Dr. Barone’s phone number. I started treatment with Dr. Barone in January of 2007 and so far I have been, for the most part, pain free.

Dear Dr. Barone,

I am 48 years old and for more than twenty years I was suffering with numbness in my toes, tingling and pain in my legs, low back pain, neck and shoulder pain, had difficulties raising and holding up my left hand, ringing in my ears, jaw stiffness, pain behind my ears, headaches, asthma, blurry vision, and acid reflux.  My left leg was shorter and I had popping sounds in my left hip when I tried to accommodate my left leg into a painless and comfortable position. I was agonizing to sit on a chair for a long time. My left leg would get totally numb and start tingling, and had cramps.  Because of all that, I was easily irritated and got tired fast. I would wake up in the middle of the night because of the strong pain in my legs, low back pain, and cramps in my legs. 

After the very first correction, immediately, I felt slight dizziness and airflow in my nose, forehead and chest.  My vision became clearer, I could not believe it!  This was the first time after more than 20 years, I was filled with joy!! I praised God and the staff at Barone Spinal Care.

I had been experiencing back pain located between the shoulder blades, lower back as well as neck pain leading into the shoulders for several years, and upon turning 48 years old, decided to do something about it. As a Fibromyalgia patient for many years, I have been on various medications over the years. I have had acupuncture, biofeedback, physical therapy and massage therapy. Although some of the treatments made me more comfortable, they were very short-term “fixes.” During this time, even with drugs, sleep was very infrequent and very disturbed. Earlier this year I weaned myself off of all medication.

I’m writing to tell you how thrilled I have been to being introduced to your NUCCA procedure.

When I came to you a little over a year ago I was suffering from many different kinds of problems, and my shoulder was one of the worst - it was totally locked up. I am currently 27 years old & in the past 20 years, I have had many chronic injuries due to running that have disrupted my life.  I have dealt with shin splints, hip tension and an extremely sore back and upper shoulders to name a few. 

 

I found Barone Spinal Carel at an event in my community where they did an initial test on my back and found an imbalance in my nerve pathways.  I wasn’t surprised at this result and decided to schedule a consultation with them.  

As I got into the consultation, I got the feeling that this may be the treatment of choice for me. I felt that the treatment protocol was explained to me thoroughly and it made sense.  I found that the chronic fatigue, irritability, anxiety, heart palpitations and constipation I had dealt with since before high school may be related to the nerves being compressed by a misaligned spine.  

After the first painless adjustment, I couldn’t believe the way I felt!  For the first time I did not want to slouch over.  I felt so tall and awake!  I had never felt this aligned in my whole life. Within a few days of my first adjustment I received a thorough letter in the mail explaining everything about my condition and the plan for me. I found that the reason my spine had been misaligned was because it had been in a stressed and locked position for about 25 years!  The twisting of my spine and pelvis showed one hip lower than the other, which caused my body to be out of its ideal vertical position and forced more weight to be carried on one side of the body.

I am 23 years old and have been suffering with many symptoms since I can remember. I wasdiagnosed with scoliosis in the 3^rd grade and went to several chiropractors that did nothing for me. I would have severe migraines a couple times a week that wouldn’t allow me to work or go to school. I was on Imitrex 200mg that would barely relieve the pain. It was excruciating! Some other symptoms I had included constant neck pain, constant headaches, horrible allergies in the Spring and Fall, very painful acid reflux that caused me to almost throw up at times, low back pain, grinding of my teeth, leg cramps at night, knee pain whenever I stood, walked or worked out for over 5 minutes at a time, and tingling in my feet that would occur every night for hours on end. On top of these symptoms I suffered from severe depression and anxiety since I was a junior in high school. I was also diagnosed with adult ADHD when I was a senior in high school. All of these issues we so overwhelming at my age and I had no hope. I thought, if I’m this bad at this age I wonder how I’ll be in 20 years!

 

In the spring of 2008 I started care at Barone Spinal Care. After everything I had heard I was so excited to start and hopefully get some relief! After the first few adjustments I was skeptical because I got very nauseous and sick. But on the other hand, I was immediately walking straighter, my hips were more level, and my posture was better than ever! My parents saw me after the first adjustment and were amazed! Those aren’t the only things that improved! Dear Dr. Barone and patients,   

I have been suffering with low back pain and severe sciatic nerve pain for at least 10 years. I tried a traditional chiropractor about 10 years ago, who adjusted me by “cracking” my spine and even thought it seemed to help for a while, I got so scared from the “cracking” and I would tense up so badly that the doctor would tell me to relax, as he couldn’t adjust me because I got so rigid.

 I “lived” on painkillers and arthritis drugs. I had an MRI, spinal X-rays, shoe orthotics, but the pain continued. Being over-weight didn’t help either. I was seriously considering surgery because I couldn’t stand living with this continual pain any longer.

Then one Saturday about 9 months ago, I heard Dr. Barone’s radio show on WYLL AM 1160. I was intrigued by this NUCCA treatment. It also sounded too good to be true, but I decided to call and make an appointment.

After the very first treatment I knew something had happened because I felt a little lighter in a very nice way.  I absolutely could not believe my sciatic nerve pain was practically gone and certainly bearable even with it bothered me occasionally.

I might mention that even though my back problems brought me to Barone Spinal Care, my entire body feels better – less achy and stiff. I have now decided that when my self-imposed year “trial” is over, I will continue coming here and look forward to getting older without so much pain.

 I truly don’t believe there is anyone who was more skeptical about this simple treatment than I was, but desperation brought me to Barone Spinal Care. I am no longer a skeptic! I am 35 years old and have been suffering from back pain since May of 2003. Previous to May I have had backaches that would improve after rest. One day, while getting into the shower, I sneezed and my back went into spasm I was barely able to walk. My doctor prescribed muscle relaxant, pain kill relievers and physical therapy. After 3-months of physical therapy I felt close to 100%. I though the physical therapy cured me of my back problems.

About a week later while reaching for a waste container my back went out again. Once again the doctor prescribed muscle relaxants and pain kill relievers. He also set up an MRI, which showed that I had a herniated disc. My doctor suggested that I try NUCCA. By that time my back felt better so I put off going to the chiropractor. About 2-weeks later my back went out again and the first call I made was to your office to set up an appointment. I felt that this was a better alternative to surgery.

After my initial consultation and X-Rays, I was looking forward to my first adjustment, which was scheduled for the next day. The adjustment itself was painless and when I stood afterwards my body felt light and there was a little relief from my back pain. Over the next two months I have had three additional adjustments and my back pain had gotten progressively better. While I am not at 100% at this time I have vastly improved from the first day I came to your office. I am confident that with continued visits and adjustments when necessary that I will be back to 100% soon.

You have changed my life! I became debilitated from chronic pain that I was having in my neck, shoulders and arms for almost 2 years. I tried so many different procedures to eliminate this horrible pain that I had every day. Nothing worked for me.

I came to you two months ago with a host of problems that I had been struggling with for the past 5 years, i.e. headaches, backaches, digestion problems, anxiety, insomnia and the worst of all was the sense of hopelessness that results from longstanding pain and discomfort.  I was exhausted.

I had sought and tried everything from traditional to alternative medicine.  All helped to some degree but I couldn’t understand that with all I was doing and with all of the money I was spending that I just couldn’t seem to reclaim my former self. 

It seemed to be just "normal" to have a neck ache, to feel the effects of stress on my body & to live uncomfortably. That is, until I came for my first appointment at your office.

I am now virtually headache and backache free.  My digestion is near normal.  I am clearly benefiting from the good foods whose natural healing properties were partially lost to me.  I have just recently begun to experience some periods of a deeper more restful sleep.  I am more flexible. I have suffered for 46 years with upper and lower back pain. Also have carpel tunnel which has caused intense pain. For the last several years I have had numb areas at various points of my body. Sometimes I just hurt all over and my sense of well being had dropped to near non existence. The slightest exertion became overwhelming.

Then on March 22, 2006 sciatica hit me like a ton of bricks. I could not sit, lay or stand comfortably. I was beside myself with horrific pain and anxiety. My doctor referred me to an orthopedic surgeon, who ordered an MRI and lower back X-rays. The findings were he told me that I had 3 bad discs, some arthritis and he could not see what was causing the sciatica. His options were spinal injections or surgery which did not appeal to me at all!

Then on April 18, 2006, Trigeminal neuralgia struck. So long story short, that’s when my daughter called and made an appointment for me to come in an see you. Upon my first visit I was calmed by the atmosphere of comfort, caring and hope.

So in just 4 weeks my trigeminal neuralgia is GONE, my sciatica is 95% better and I feel better than I have felt in well over a year. My general sense of well being has improved tremendously. And I am confident it will continue to do so because of your expertise. God has truly blessed you.

I wanted to send you a note to let you know how much I appreciate the wonderful care I have gotten at Barone Spinal Care since becoming a patient earlier this year.

I first heard about your office from my younger sister. She had been blaming me for year for hurting her tailbone, from when I kneed her in the butt when we were kids. When she told me about the procedure, and how much better she felt – I thought she was nuts, but on the other hand I knew if she was telling me to go, it would be worth it.

My 2 numb spots in the middle of my back were hurting again and I couldn’t get rid of my knots in my neck and shoulders. To top everything off, now my lower back hurt, again. My sister insisted I go. The next day I just couldn’t take it anymore, so I didn’t wait, I made the appointment. IT WAS WORTH IT!  I instantly felt relief.

I am 34 and life is so different now. I’d had headaches for 7 months, and quite often I would be walking down the hall at work not feeling right. Now? Nothing like that at all!

I am 75 years old and have been suffering from lower back pain on my left side. I’m not sure how or when the pain started but I have suffered for several years and it has become worse over the last five to six years. The pain has interfered with normal daily activities such as anything that required bending at the waist, even slightly. The pain would be so bad that I would have to stop what I was doing and sit down and rest. This made me avoid any activity that would result in back pain. It had an adverse effect on every aspect of my life. 

Before I came to Barone Spinal Care I did try another chiropractor. When I heard about Barone Spinal Care & the very interesting technique you use, I had to see for myself what this treatment was all about.

My experience has been excellent! I could not expect to be treated any better. I thought the exams were very thorough, not what I expected based on past treatments by a previous chiropractor. I had been suffering from a series of aches starting with daily headaches, migraines, neck, scalp, low back and elbow pain, in addition to jaw tension, arms foot and toe numbness. The level of pain started to severely interfere with my daily activities and relationships at work, as well as at home with my family.
